Chapter 16

It was the third day of my trip in Arizona, 13 June. I couldn’t possibly think that the time had passed so quickly. Half year anniversary between Jasper and me was held on tomorrow. We’ve been through for half years already after tomorrow but the worst thing right now was Jasper had stopped talking to me even though I talked to him initiatively. He was still mad at me obviously. I wasn’t worried that he was mad at me because of my reckless but the thing I worried was the misunderstanding between Jack and me. I did not comprehend the situation between Jack and I and Jasper had misunderstood us. I have to fix everything back to normal before our celebration. I wouldn’t let anything to ruin our memories that we couldn’t miss for.

Jasper didn’t showed up at the breakfast and I wasn’t deciding to break his madness again before I could fix everything right. I left the house solely and walked to the nearest gift shop to search for a gift that would suit for our half-year celebration. On the way, I saw Jack and a new face beside him across the street. I ran towards him and stood in front of him, I have to figure out his thought to give myself an explanation.
“Hey.” I shouted at him.
“Oh. Hi” He smiled widely.
“Who is she?” The new faces asked. “None of your business.” I said rudely and he stepped back.
“What happened?” Jack asked softly. “How about you answer me?” I said with a smirk on my face.
“What do you mean? Oh, do you mean last night?” He smiled and pushed the new face implying him to leave.
“Okay, what’s your name now?” He asked seriously.
“Raven. I know you’re Jack.” I said immediately.
“Oh, so, Raven. I’m Jack Devin.” He wanted to shake his hand with me but I ignored him.
“Don’t look so serious. I couldn’t tell you anything if you looked so…” He gestured the looked on my face. I frowned and tried to relax.
“Fine. Tell me now.” I sighed.
“How about a deal? I’ll tell you if you accompany me for lunch. I’m hungry.” He acted out a face of innocent and I almost hated that face.
“You are a troublemaker. Make it quick.” I said annoyingly. Although he was being nice to me last night, I still couldn’t forgive that he was part of the reason that Jasper mad at me.
“Now” I looked embarrassing.

“Fine. I just like you. I don’t know what I should explain but…” He sighed made me felt guilty.
“Okay, look Jack. I love Jasper.” I said confidently that I was completely fallen for him.
“I can do what Jasper do. I can.” He said proudly but he doesn’t.
“No, you can never do what Jasper did to me. Don’t you think you’re too impulsive to say that you like me?” I frowned.
“What did he do make you feel that I can’t do it? Love cannot be waited.” He stopped his motion of eating and stared at me. I know he couldn’t let himself stopped unless I tell him the truth. I spent some time telling him things between Jasper and I, not all but some.
“Jasper…” He sighed.
“Do you understand now? Anyway…I’m really appreciate for your confessions.” I nodded and he smiled.
“Could you do me a favor as a friend?” I grinned.
“Of course.” He smiled joyfully.

I spent the half of my day strolling around the street to search for something to decorate my surprise party for Jasper. Lately, I met Jack and some of his friends at the garden where I talked to the old lady. I wanted to have a special anniversary surprise and a good place for me to apologize to him. I was back to Jasper’s place before dinner but I was late. They were waiting for me in the dining room for dinner but they stared at me weirdly. Jasper was sitting on his sit without staring at me or welcoming me for coming back safely.
“Where did you go, Raven? I haven’t seen you around after breakfast.” Aunt Allie said amiably.
“Oh, emm. I lost again.” Jasper looked at me when he heard the ‘lost’ word and turned back to stare at the food on his plate.
“Oh my god! How did you get back here then?” Aunt Allie frowned curiously.
“I… emm…  I asked. The people in Arizona were really nice.” I coughed lightly to refuge my lied.
“Come. I’m sure you’re hungry.” Aunt Allie smiled.
“Jasper, you should take care of Raven.” Mr. Whine scolded Jasper.
“No, Mr. Whine. It wasn’t Jasper’s fault.” I heard him sighed when I sat down.

Jasper headed back to his room after the dinner. He really wasn’t talking to me at all. Although I can’t bear the situation anymore, I still couldn’t break the surprise. It was extremely uncomfortable to hide a surprise, why wouldn’t Jasper felt uncomfortable at all when he decided to give me a surprise? The night passed hard and long, I couldn’t fall asleep even though the tiredness floated up into my mind.

The dawn arises, I brought out the decoration stuffs and went to the garden secretly. Although the saturnine in the morning made me felt grotesque, I still have to finish my work before the evening. Jack was lying on the bench in the garden, he was sleeping soundly.
“Jack?” I patted his shoulder lightly. He scrubbed his eyes and woke up.
“Hey.” He looked tired.
“What are you doing here?” I asked.
“I think that you probably need some help so I’m here to help you.” He smiled but made me incomprehensive.
“Did you sleep here last night?” I frowned.
“Ya, it’s trouble to keep coming and leaving and it’s far from my home. Emm, the others will come over soon.” He grasped his hair and looked at the things that hold on my hand.
“Come on, let’s start our work. Did Jasper know you were out here so early?” Jack said and made me nervous.
“No. It was a surprise. You understand what I’m doing.” He nodded when I said.
Jasper new school’s friends came one after another to join helping me to decorate the scene. They were all admired by my plan. Besides, some of his friends brought their girlfriend to help so that it might be easier for me to communicate with for my actual plan. Every of them were really nice, kind and helpful. I appreciated for their help and I wanted to officially thank them for their treat. After the whole day of decorating, the scene gradually became effective. It was beautiful, just like the feeling it was given in our dream. In fact, with the layout we managed in the whole morning, the garden had a lively atmosphere environ around it.
“Thank you.” I bowed to them and they smiled.
“You’re really welcome.” The new faces around said politely.
“I’m sorry I’m rude to you yesterday.” I apologized.
“I know what happened. It’s Jack fault. It wasn’t your fault.” He smiled. Jack shoved him lightly.
“Hey, enough. That case is over. I’m helping Raven as a friend.” He nodded lightly when Jack explained.
“It’s okay Jack but I still need your help.” I grinned and Jack nodded as promised.
“Anyway, It’s really helpful. Thank you.” I hugged the girls and nodded to the boys.
“We’ll wait for your great news.” The other guys said with friendly smile.
“Go get Jasper here.” Jack smiled and patted my back.
“Thank you!” I yelled at them and started running back to Jasper’s home. Everything had done, and it’s time for me to apologize and give Jasper a full explanation. I don’t know will Jasper comprehend my explanation, but with Jack’s help, I’m sure it would be fine. Running on the empty street with an exciting mood really made me no fear at all and I knew I have to see Jasper right now. I couldn’t wait any longer to tell Jasper everything and things I wanted to tell him the things other than Jack and me.

Jasper was walking out from the house with a dashing expression. I wondered where was he going but something bad just popped up my mind was that Jasper had forgotten about our half year anniversary.
“Jasper!” I shouted loudly and he swerved to the direction of my voice. I ran towards him and stopped. He stared at me and frowned.
“Where are you going?” I asked softly with guiltiness but he didn’t answer my question and sighed.
“I’m sorry. Emm, are you rushing on something?” I asked even softer.
“A little bit.” He said coolly.
“Can you give me 30 minutes? Just 30 minutes, please.” I started to afraid of his deny but I even afraid of his non-respond.
“Please…” I begged him to promise.
“Okay.” He said. “Come, follow me.” I smiled and grabbed his hand, started to run to the direction of the garden. Jack had hidden somewhere where Jasper and I could hardly see, all the light in garden had extinguished, the garden looked normal than before.
“You want to talk?” He glanced to his watch and stared at me. I felt sad because he started to look annoyed when he was with me but I don’t care. I have to solve everything within these 30 minutes.

“Close your eyes.” I ordered him. He frowned but he close his eyes obediently. The light in the garden lit up in a sudden and the garden looked just the way the same before I left.
“You can open your eyes now.” I said and smiled. He opened his eyes slowly and his expression was shocked. He turned and looked around. He smiled to me, it made me felt happy and everything was worth to do with.
“You…you’re missing since the morning because you’re here? Decorating this?” His gaze met my eyes. I nodded lightly and he grinned.
“I met an old lady in this garden, on the day I walked off after the lunch. She told me a story about her. She was in love with a man for fifty years and…after thirty years of marriage, her husband betrayed her and the woman was pregnant.”
“I will never do that…” Jasper whispered to himself.
“He became impoverished eventually…He went back for this old lady required her to forgive him…for what he did…he want her back…What do you think she chose?” I walked to the bench and sat on it while I was waiting for his answer.
“Emm, no…I think.” He thinks for a moment and answered softly.
“No, she did. She forgave him.” I grinned and stared at him.
“Why?” He frowned and asked.
“Because…she remembered the things that he did right and forgot about the one thing he had did wrong…and the most important thing was…she loved him more than everything…. ” I sighed and stared at him.
“Jealousy is just frustration. Never let jealousy deprived the love between you and him. That’s the one last thing she told me and… it really pointed me up… Jasper, can you forgive me? I promised that day I went away was all because of jealous.” I said and sighed. Jasper walked towards and his hand put on my shoulder.
“Raven…I’m so sorry…Why didn’t you tell me that?” He frowned but it made me felt comfortable because I had uttered things that I should tell him.
“I don’t want you to think me that I’m stingy…It wasn’t your fault…”
“Ray…you should tell me that…” His eyes looked just like he was in pain.

“Everything past just let it go. Can you forgive me…?” I asked softly. He nodded lightly and hugged me as he was standing in front of me. I hugged him back and grinned. Everything finally comes to an end, Jasper forgave me, and everything will back to normal.
“Oh, one more thing I should give you an explanation.” I said insistently.
“It’s okay. It doesn’t matter.” He hugged me again.
“No, Jasper. I don’t want the thing kept on disturbing us. Jack.” I whispered and Jack appeared from a bush or trees somewhere.
“Jack?” Jasper holds me up and grabbed my hand tightly.
“Jasper…” I said lightly. “Raven, why did you bring him here? He’s the one who messed things up between us. Don’t you remember?” Jasper stared at me fiercely.
“It wasn’t Raven fault.” Jack shouted at Jasper and Jasper glanced at him.
“I like her at the very first sight when I saw her. I admitted that. I never feel that kind of feeling on any of the girls but her.” Jack going to mess things up again, I thought.
“You…” Jasper looked extremely mad at him.
“But, she really loves you and she proved that how much you had done for her and I felt readily for that. Dude, you’re really are infatuation. I apologized for that.” Jack smiled. Jasper turned to me to assure the truth that Jack spoke. I nodded to him and he swerved back to Jack.
“Jasper, it was just a misunderstanding…” I insisted.

“Okay, as long as you try to control yourself. Never again, this is over.” Jasper looked at Jack sternly and smiled.
“I promised.” Jack smiled and Jasper patted his shoulder as comprehended. “I should go now.” Jack said softly and walked away.
“Thanks.” I said and smiled. He nodded and walked even further. Jasper turned back to me until Jack disappeared from our sight but I walked away because of my disappointed. He tried to grab my hand but he failed.
“Ray…” He sighed.
“Everything’s finally over.” I said softly. “Yea, thanks for everything.” He grinned.
“But you disappointed me. You didn’t even try to trust me. 30 minutes is over, you can go now.” My tears started to surge from my heart.
“Ray…don’t…” He tried to continue his words but he can’t.
“Where were you going just now?” I asked curiously.
“Emm, that’s not important.” He looked guilty but I insisted to look that I really trusted on him.
“Tell me…” I wanted the truth.
“Chloe invited me…but she said she has something important to say…Ray, please don’t misunderstood.” Jasper explained and to distinguish his innocent.
“Do you know why did I planned so much today?” I calm my mood down and stared at him, waiting for the answer that I wanted him to give me.
“Emm…to apologized” This really beat me up, the ache pained from the bottom of my heart. He had forgotten about our half year relationship.
“Jas…why did you treat me that way…how could you…” I couldn’t calm down my mood anymore, the tears was boiling just at the edge of my orbital. I turned and ran away without hesitation, I knew he was running behind me, but I have to run before the tears dropped in front of him. My running speed seems to get faster and faster, and soon, the house appeared in front of me. I didn’t wait for any second longer and dashed into the room before Jasper could stop and grabbed me.

“Raven!” Jasper knocked on my door harshly just when I shut the door out loud. I couldn’t care how Aunt Allie and Mr. Whine would think about us, but the ached of the trauma really hurt my feelings.
“Go away. I don’t want to talk with you.” I said insistently but he kept knocking on the door. I shouldn’t come here, I shouldn’t come here. I think it repetitively. Maybe it was a bad choice for me, I should leave. With repeated consideration, I picked my phone up and rescheduled the flight on the day after tomorrow. I wasn’t sure will that be a reckless selection, but to stop confronting Jasper for a serious of grief in Arizona, it was better for me to leave.

After packing up my stuffs into my luggage tidily, I went down to the dining room to announce my news of leaving. I know it could be hard for me to tell them. Aunt Allie and Mr. Whine would be uncomprehending my words but to let things get easier for me, leaving would be the best choice.
Jasper looked listless today. He wasn’t eating at all but staring at the juice in his cup.
“Good morning.” I grinned towards Aunt Allie and Mr. Whine as I approached.
“Good morning.” Aunt Allie grinned but frowned. “What happened last night?” Aunt Allie shouldn’t ask this question.
“Mom…” Jasper whispered and I sat silently.
“Emm, I have something to say.” All of them stopped their motion and stared at me waiting my news.
“’I’m leaving tomorrow.” I said and I assume to eat the bread.
“What?” Jasper stood up and shocked but I ignored him evidently.
“Raven…why?” Aunt Allie looked sad.
“Aunt Allie, Mr. Whine. Thank you for your caring this few days and I shouldn’t disturb you all for so long and my dad wanted me to be back soon.” I lied.
“Oh, I understand. It’s okay, you’re not disturbing us at all. Just stay for a few more days if you change your mind. I’m sure Jasper wanted to, right Jasper?” Aunt whispered to Jasper but Jasper didn’t respond. I felt even bad because he didn’t say a word to retain my existence.
“Thank you but no thank you, Aunt Allie. The bread tasted good.” As I finished my word with no appetite on my breakfast, I stood up and leave the room. Before I stepped out the dining room entirely, I heard Mr. Whine whispered towards Jasper.
“Did something went wrong between you two?” Mr. Whine asked soundly to avoid me from tap.

It would be the last day in Arizona, I thought to myself but before I leave I should take a visit at Emily’s place to bid farewell. I guess I will be spending the whole day at Emily place and be back after dinner because I really don’t feel like talking to Jasper. I grabbed my bag and walked out from the house as I waved to Aunt Allie as in an agreement.
“Ray!” Jasper ran out from the house pantingly. I turned to him and saw his fatigued appearance but I didn’t speak for regard.
“Emm…Where are you going?” He frowned and grasped his hair lightly. I frowned back to him and he sighed.
“Can’t you just speak a word to me? I know you’re angry but could you…” I stopped his words.
“Jasper, don’t remind me about yesterday. I already had forgot about it.” I sighed and turned, started to walk to the direction of Emily’s house.
“I’m…sorry…Can’t you just stop and listen to what I was going to say?” Jasper standstill at the place and said vaguely.
“Can’t you just leave me alone today? I will leave you alone after tomorrow.” I strengthen my tone.
“Ray…” His sound sounded low and was in obvious agony. I kept my walking pace quick and light and slow down once I found Emily’s home. I knocked on the door lightly as I heard footstep approached towards the door and open gently.

“Well, halo, Raven. It’s nice to see you again.” Elizabeth smiled looked moderate.
“Halo, Elizabeth.” I grinned and I hugged her as a greeting.
“Looks like you brought a guest.” She smiled and waved to the person behind me.
“I didn’t!” My eyes went wide and swerved to find who it was.
“Jasper?!” I shouted with surprised and stared at him. “You tracked me?”
“No…I just want to ensure that you’re safe. I’m sorry.” Jasper looked innocent and I wasn’t going to blame for his kindness.
“Raven, be nice. He’s my guest. I guess he’s your little guy huh?” Elizabeth giggled and welcomed us.
“Have a sit. I’ll make my favorite fabric fragrance tea for both of you.” Elizabeth went into the kitchen as Jasper and I sat on the couch without talking.
“Is she the old lady you met previously?” Jasper asked me but I didn’t answer him at all.
“Come come, try it. You should try it.” Elizabeth handed over a cup of fragrance tea to me.
“Thank you.” I grinned and I sipped the tea gently. “Taste good.” I smiled.
“Yea” Jasper continued after me. I looked at him a second and turned away.
“So, Raven. What’s brought you here?” Elizabeth frowned and smiled.
“Emm, I was leaving tomorrow so I came to say goodbye and I promised to visit you sometimes right?”
“Oh, I see.  It’s very nice of you, Raven. How about your little guy?” Elizabeth chuckled lightly and looked at Jasper.
“Emm, Elizabeth, can I borrow your bathroom?” I stood up and walked to the direction, which Elizabeth had pointed.

‘What am I doing? You’re hurting Jasper’s feeling, Raven! You shouldn’t do this to Jasper. You should forgive him! But, how? How should I? I couldn’t find any reason to forgive him. I’d plan so much, spend my thought of me, just to convey my love to him, why can’t he just understand and appreciate for all I’d done.’ The one who was standing in front of the mirror in the bathroom, me, Raven, deeply couldn’t forget him actually, evidently, forgot our half year anniversary…and he dated Chloe. ‘No, she dated him, but why? Jasper said Chloe mentioned it was important, but Jasper missed it. Will Chloe be angry at him or me? How did Jasper explained to her?’ There’s so much question in my mind. I wanted to know the answer but I couldn’t get any answer without asking Jasper.
‘Should I trust Jasper? Should I trust him that he wasn’t purposely forget it? Maybe I really should believe in him, Maybe I should give him a chance to prove me that the innocent of him.’
I make a huge sigh in front the mirror, looking at myself, asking myself, how much I love Jasper, how important is him, how much he’d done for me. I shouldn’t dispute with Jasper, I’m too stingy.
‘Make a deal with myself. I should find a chance and give him a chance to apologize. I don’t want the relationship to get over so quickly because of some obstacle and it is normal that there’s third party emerged in a relationship, as movie always taught us not to fight with them but to realize who the person he/she in love with.’

Hold a deep breath and exhaled with a sort of release to myself and Jasper. I walked out from the washroom eventually, faced and walked towards the living room where Jasper and Elizabeth were chatting happily with laughing and smiling on their faces. I’m glad that Jasper smile again but just then he saw me appeared, his laughter was immediate disappeared.  Simultaneously, Elizabeth veered and looked at me with her moderate smile.
“Raven? Why are you still standing there? Come, sit. I bet you would love to hear what Jasper talked about both of you.” Elizabeth patted lightly on the couch and I walked towards and sat.
“Oh?” I looked delighted at Jasper. He nodded and smiles lightly.
“Raven, you deserve a guy like Jasper to take care of you. He’s really a nice guy.” Elizabeth laughed with light cough.
“Are you okay Elizabeth? You don’t seem well.” I asked worriedly.
“I’m fine, I’m fine.” She said confidently but I don’t think it was fine. I touch her hand lightly purposely.
“Your hands are so cold.” I frowned harshly.
“Are you really okay Elizabeth?” Jasper joined in the conversation in a sudden.
“You should take some rest.” She nodded lightly as I said.
“Thank you. I’m so sorry that I can’t serve you guys.” Elizabeth apologized but I patted her back as consolation. I spent the rest of the afternoon taking care of her until the condition of her sickness get better. Elizabeth slept peacefully after taking a few tablets and so I went down to check out what Jasper was doing. He was napping on the couch but his face was still holding so tightly and his lip was pressing in a straight line. I think he didn’t sleep well last night. I could not bear to see his face looking so dignified while he was sleeping. I walked towards him and sat silently beside him, watching Jasper with a sorrowful emotion. Suddenly, my hand lifted up without hesitation and touched his face. Feeling the warmth of his face, body, and his temperature. I rose up my body and kissed on his forehead. I don’t understand what I’m doing but I just want to. His eyelid moved gently and slowly his eyes were opened. There’s only a few inches distance between him and me, I tried to struggle, to detach from the side of him but his hand grabbed my hand refusing me from separating.

“No, don’t leave me.” His words just made my heart felt aches but I still trying to leave.
“Raven, please. Don’t.” His words just like begging me from not doing this to him. I hold myself and stayed where I am. His hand grasped my neck and pulled me even closer to him.
“Jasper, don’t.” I refused him to pulling me close to him although my heart allowed the distance to remain or even closer. He released and stood up beside the couch. I sighed and I can clearly feel the pain of him. He turned his back to me and I restraint myself for not hurting him anymore.
“Jasper” I said softly. He apparently veered and stared at me with the groan in his eyes.
“Can we just talk?” I sighed and take a heavy seat on the couch. He didn’t answer me anything but to sit without looking at my eyes.
“Are you going to apologize?” I asked purposely. Before he could answer, I one step ahead of him. “But I won’t let you have a chance.” I grinned but not letting him to see. Not a sound I can hear from him but a huge sighed.
“I just wanted to understand, and I need an explanation of yesterday before I leave.” I finished my words, and waiting for him to respond.
“Raven…” He said after a few seconds.
“You’re not going to give me an explanation? Aren’t you?” I laughed at myself because I was naïve enough to think that he will explain to me. “I kept on repeating to myself that you have a hardship because of your overlook but everything seem …was just reverie. Jasper, I’m really disappointed on you.”  I couldn’t believe that my assuming was wrong and he genuinely disappointed me. “I guess there’s nothing we can talk now.” I stood up and prepared to leave the room.
“Wait…one thing that I can frank with was that I really forgot about the half-year anniversary but I swear, I promise it wasn’t my intention.” He yelled out the words clearly.
“And you date a girl on our anniversary.” In a clarifying tone.
“Oh gosh, Raven. You’re killing me. Can we just stop the way we are, right now? It really hurt.”
“But you hurt me the most.” Tears started dash against my eyes. I can feel someone walking towards me but I couldn’t control my leg to move any further. A pair of hand warmly rounded around my waist, seizing the action of mine.
“I’m sorry. I know there’s nothing much I can say more than apologizing, but I need you to that I love you. You’re too important to me. I can’t bear to stay a distance…not even a little with you, it hurts so much. Much more than if I had to kill myself. I’m begging you right now, Raven. Makes me suffocated so much, aches in my heart, my whole body.” The words were painfully branded on my heart. He turned my body to face him. Our eyes met the gaze of each other. I can see the tears naturally emerged on our orbitals and the agony of us. “I promise I would never do that again. I promise.” He looked down on the floor as regretful. I lifted my hand to raise his head up to meet my gaze again.
“Should I…?” Just when I was hesitating, I can feel something lithe just touches on my lips, closely, familiarly touches on my lips.

‘Jasper?’
“Don’t push me away before I say anything.” And his lips touched on my lips again. It was a long, tender kiss I had ever in my life and it was the first kiss of my entire life. I didn’t push him away as I did not want to. I’d already forgive him, I never wanted to blame him or examine minutely anymore because I love him, and I knew it, clearly, deeply in my heart.
“Thank you, Ray.” He said gently with a grin on his face.
“Remember your promise.” I looked at him and smiled. He smiled and embraced me tightly.
“I promise.” He whispered beside my ear and kisses lightly on my hair.
A huge, loud applaud just rang around my ears and I swerved my body in a sudden to the direction of the sound. Elizabeth was standing right beside the door and clapping her hand loudly with a joyful laughter. Jasper’s hand rounded on my waist and smiled delightfully.
“Elizabeth? Feel better?” I asked worriedly again.
“No worries. I bet you will visit me after a few days before you leave.” She chuckled and walked towards us. “Good job, Jasper.” She patted lightly on his shoulder.
“Eli…? Jasper? Did I miss something important?” I frowned.
“Nope, not at all.” Jasper laughed and holds me even tighter. “Elizabeth, I guess we’ll visit you later. We have something more important to do now.” Jasper grabbed my hand and started to leave the house.
“Sure. I’ll be right here waiting for you both.” Elizabeth giggled and smiled.
“Take care of yourself, Elizabeth. We’ll be back.” I said with a smile and followed at the back of Jasper.

“Where are we going? Did we have something important to do?” I asked Jasper curiously.
“Ya. Chloe, I want you to meet her with me.” Jasper said confidently and smiled at me. Jasper always knows what I want, and what I wanted to solve. Chloe always part of the issues which made us spat. No longer, the restaurant which Chloe used to work appeared. Jasper held my hand tightly and pushes the door and went in, and of course I followed at the back of him. Chloe was working at the cashier. Just when she saw Jasper, she jumped up from the cashier and intended to give him a hug. Jasper dodged her passion greetings and holds me to a seat and implied to sit on it.
“Hi, Jasper! And Raven.” Chloe said reluctantly while she saw me.
“Hey, Jasper. You miss me again?” Chloe giggled craftily which made me feel uncomfortable.
“I miss Raven more.” Jasper said something that made me surprised.
“Oh. You miss the date yesterday but never mind. We’ll have the other chances.” Chloe laughed again.
“Can you speak out right now? I don’t really want my girlfriend to misunderstand about both of us.” Jasper looked so serious, and Chloe looked even more serious suddenly.
“Are you sure? I don’t feel good.” Chloe looked mad but calm. Jasper sat close beside me meanwhile Chloe sat on the chair, which located at the opposite of mine.
“I wanted Jasper to be my boyfriend. I won’t be the loser.” Chloe strike on the table hardly and glanced at me. It wasn’t surprised that Chloe would said that because the first instinct when I saw her I can feel what she wanted.
“Oh, thank you for telling me that. The choice wasn’t on me. You don’t need to open your eyes so widely because it wasn’t really intimidating.” I said slowly but clearly.
“Chloe, that’s enough. I don’t know what are you planning to but we’re only friends. It wouldn’t change. The one I love is only Raven, and always is. Stop making any unusable stuff.” Jasper stared at her fiercely but I can see how serious Jasper was taking on me.
“Jas…it’s okay.” I hold him back and stay calm.
“Chloe, we’re still friends if you would at least attempt to control what you’re saying and something you won’t be able to success.” I know that Jasper doesn’t want solve the problem that way but because of the existence of me …between both of them. In fact, he wanted to clarify the relationship of them in front of me.
“Jasper, you will be mine someday.” Chloe stormed off and went into the kitchen.
“She’s taking it really serious.” I coughed lightly and stared at him sympathetically.
“I don’t care. I only care about you.” He looked at me with his both tender eyes.

Chapter 15

I wished this trip could be the most special trip I ever had. I packed up some of my clothes that Amanda and Angela bought for me when they were shopping during the summer sales. Although it wasn’t really my style but all I can say it’s prevalent. I think I should be keeping myself on trend so that I wouldn’t get eliminate by the 21st century.  Just when I had finished packing up my stuffs into the luggage, my dad came into my room.

“Already done?” He asked curiously.
“Yea, there’s not much thing I have to take with me.” I grinned and he nodded lightly.
“Take good care of yourself.” He gave me an embrace and kissed my forehead.
“I will, Dad. Jasper will take care of me.” I smiled.
“You really do like him huh?” He frowned and sighed.
“Yes. He’s part of my life now.” I stared at his dignified expression.
“Okay then. Have fun at your trip and be safe.” He carried my luggage and walked to the foyer. I followed as I took my backpack beside me. Jasper was already outside the house when my dad decided to wait for him at the parking lots. I walked out as my dad walked towards the car where Jasper halted. Jasper grabbed over my luggage and placed carefully into the car boot.

“We have to leave now, Mr. Campbell.” Jasper said softly to my dad.
“Oh, okay. Take care of my daughter.” My dad turned to me and hugged even tighter than how he did just now.
“I will. I love you, dad.” I said as I went into the car. Jasper and my dad were both whispering to each other for a minute and Jasper then came into the car.
“What are you both talking about?”
“Just… remind me to take good care of you, with my life.” He chuckled and started the ignition.
“My dad is really verbiage.” I sighed.
“This is my responsibility. I will take care of you even if he didn’t really say so.” He smiled and turned on the radio. The classical music always made me feel comfortable and my heart was now filled with enjoyment. I started to be excited about the trip to Arizona. It’s been a long time since I got out of town. I smiled and we were enjoying the melody of the song during our way to the airport.

After searching for our sit in the plane, we leave our bag in the cabinet above our sit and sat in our place accordingly. It will be the first trip with Jasper after our three years cognitions. Jasper looked happy and kept a smile on his face all the time.
“I’m really happy.” He said with big smile. “I can see it from your face.” I pointed his smile and grinned.
“I will never let go off you this few weeks.” He holds my hand tightly in his palm and stared at me.
“What?” I asked shyly.
“Nothing” He smiled “You always looked so attractive to me.” He laughed as I pushed him away.
“How long I will be in Arizona?” I knew it was a late question but I still have to ask.
“Emm, it was a late question.” He chuckled “Maybe one or two. It really depends on you.”
“I can go whenever I want?”
“Hmm, technically…yes.” He chuckled.

The itinerary went smoothly and we arrived at Jasper’s home after an hour journey on the road. His house was very beautiful. The entire house was lacquer in white and the roof tiles were in dark blue. The surrounding of his house was all covered with plants and flower. I believed Aunt Allie put a lot of thought and efforts on the decoration of her forecourt. The house was bigger than I thought. Jasper’s father must have placed all of his effort on work.
“It’s…beautiful…” I couldn’t stop praising the splendid layout.
“My mom will be happy for your words.” He took the luggage out from the cab and led me into his house.
“Mom, we’re back.” Jasper shouted loudly and Aunt Allie appeared in the living room in a sudden.
“Hi, Raven. It’s nice to see you again.” Aunt Allie hugged me as a welcome greeting.
“Hi, it’s nice to see you again too, Aunt Allie. You looked pretty today.” I smiled and she patted my shoulder lightly.
“Thank you, darling. You should be tired. Jasper, bring Raven to the guest room. I’d prepared for you. Dinner will be ready soon.” Aunt Allie was a nice, intimate mother.
“Thank you for everything, Aunt Allie.” I hugged her initiatively. It probably was the first time.
“Oh, you’re so sweet.” She patted my back and I followed Jasper into the guest room.

“Your mom was absolutely…” I was thinking the word to express how gorgeous Aunt Allie was.
“Nice? Sweet? Or, perfect?” Jasper was trying to tease me.
“Everything, any word nice could describe her.” I chuckled.
“You’re nice too. That’s the reason she likes you.” I slapped Jasper backside lightly and sat on the bed.
“Thank you, Jasper. You did too much for me, but I didn’t…” The motion of his finger was faster than my words. His finger already landed on my lips to imply me a motion of ‘stop’.
“You’d said too much thank you to me. We don’t need too much of courteous anymore. You’re my girlfriend. This is what I should do for you. Please, no more thank you. It’s enough for now.” He said seriously and I nodded.
“But…” He stopped me again. “Take a shower. I’ll meet you at the dinner.” He grinned and leaved the room. I took a shower rapidly and wore a grey and white long sleeve shirt and a pair of jeans. I walked along with the scent and soon I got into the dining room. The dining room looked extremely sumptuousness. The table was long enough to fit in 20 people for a meal, which compared to my home was totally a world of difference. I could hardly disclosure that Jasper was already sat on his sit, waiting for the dinner to begin. There was a man sitting at the forefront of the long table. He looked solemn with beard, he own a fair-skinned just like Jasper did and with a medium built. I stood at the door for a long while trying to figure out who was he but Jasper just called out my name out loud.

“Raven! Come in. Don’t stand over there like a timber.” He smiled. I walked towards Jasper but I was completely distracted by the cutlery on the table. The display of the dinnerware was decent, elegant and noble. Jasper pulled out the chair gently and I was indicated to sit on it. I sat gently without undermined the atmosphere of grim.
“He’s my dad.” Jasper whispered beside my ear. Crap! He’s father?
“Hello, Mr. Whine. I’m Raven.” I said softly but I can feel my hand was starting to shudder. He’s father looked even solemn than I saw a second ago, he put down the newspaper and looked up at me.
“Well, hello, Raven.” His grim still existed but a smile appeared on his solemn face. His father was freaking me out, I thought myself.
“You were Jasper’s girlfriend, aren’t you?” He asked moderately. I nodded lightly and Jasper grinned.
“Jasper talked a lot about you with me and Allie. He said you’re special.” My eyes went wide when I heard the word ‘special’.
“Not exactly” I said vaguely. “Perhaps a little. I mean life experience.” Jasper sighed. I think he knew it meant to be my mom.
“Oh? How special was it? I’m interested.” He smiled and Jasper blocked his father.
“Dad” Jasper whispered and his dad frowned with distressed.
“It’s okay, Jasper.” I said softly. “My mom left me since I was eight years old and I couldn’t bestir for 9 years. That will be the reason which I was so special.” I said and mocked at myself.
“Oh, I’m sorry. I should never gossip about it.” Jasper’s father apologized.
“No, Mr. Whine. It wouldn’t hurt me anymore.” I nodded and he smirked as his guiltiness. Jasper stared at me curiously and I smiled. Just then, Aunt Allie came into the dining room with handful food. I immediately went to help to carry some of the food from her case in case she wouldn’t drop off. I placed on of the plate for Jasper and then myself.
“Aunt Allie, thank you for your dinner.” I grinned and she nodded happily.
“Let’s get started. I’m starving.” Jasper rectified the awkwardness atmosphere between his dad and me. It was nice to have a peaceful dinner with Jasper’s family. It seems both of them likes me and consent me as Jasper’s girlfriend but this brought me to think about how my dad treated Jasper. A sense of guilty fluttered in my mind towards Jasper. After the dinner, I helped out Aunt Allie in the kitchen. She talked a lot about her new life in Arizona and she looked happier than she was in Forks. Formerly staying beside a person who he or she loves will be the most blissful thing ever, just like I can feel the same feeling when I was genuinely beside Jasper. I enjoyed the moments that I spent with Jasper’s family, sharing about their separate lives for 3 years. It was a definite touch stories, and it made me recalled the paper that wrote by Jasper when he was young.

“Where were we going?” Jasper holds my hand and pulled me upstairs.
“We should treasure our time when we were together.” He said hurriedly and we went into his bedroom. His bedroom was very neat and tidy. The design of his room was extremely different. It owned its own style and just enough to utterance the personality of Jasper. His room was freight with considerable light. I think the bedroom was too big so it needed a lot of light to support the brightness of the room. There was a lot of photographs and bookrack tacked on the wall and in fact there were a lot of books on it.
“You read them?” I asked curiously. If he said yes I definitely wasn’t an attentive girlfriend ever.
“No. Partly, but most of it was my father. He loves to read. He will shift these books away soon.”
Besides, his bedroom was also painted in white but with hand drawing layout on the wall. It was extraordinary and I knew it must be expensive to make such craft. The desk, the mattress, everything in his room doesn’t look cheap at all. Jasper was actually living in a wealthy family, and he’s actually richer than I thought.
“You’re rich.” I said softly as I looked out from the window.
“Ray…what are you trying to say?” Jasper sighed and lied on his comfortable bed.
“Nothing. I was just surprise. “I grinned and walked towards his bed.
“I wouldn’t spot any girls. I promised.”  He pressed his lips into a straight line.
“I don’t mean that.” I sat beside him and fooled with his hand.
“I know. I know everything but I just want to ask you a serious question.” He reclined on his bed and stared at me.
“My dad brought you back of your mother but you don’t look sad at all and you said it wouldn’t hurt anymore. Really? Like really?” He looked so curious that I never had seen before. I nodded lightly and started with my words.
“I went to my mom before the beach party. I told her…that…I should let go of the pain that obscure in the heart for 9 years and I met a guy who treated me, really special and he never gave up holding me back from the pain and I had determined to implement a wish for him because…I love him just like how much you love dad.” I felt relieved after blurting out everything. Jasper gazed at me with seriousness. He leaned towards me and hugged me so tightly.
“Although it will be hard for me, but I will try. I promise.” I whispered beside his ears softly and he hugged me even tighter.
“Just try.” He released me and said with a grin on his face.
“I love you.”
“I love you, Raven.” He leaned forward and kissed lightly on my forehead. It would be truly the first time we said we love each other in the presence. The trip was finally started to accumulate memories between Jasper and I.
“Where were we going tomorrow?” I asked to distract him from staring at me and playing fool with my hair.
“Emm, where would you like to go then?” He grinned and pulled me to lie closely beside him.
“Oh, yes. Jennifer snugged a paper to me few months ago and I found out it was a CD shop in Arizona. I wondered why she gave it to me…” I frowned as he pressed my glabella to relieve my impalpability.
“Oh, right. I totally forgot about that. I pleaded Jennifer to find it. May be we can try to find the song you want in that shop.” He smiled and started to play with my hair again. I nodded and lay even closer on his chest.
“I guess I’ll get back to my room. You need some rest.” I prepared to leave but his hand pulled me back to deter me from moving.
“Can you stay here tonight? I had longing to have a good sleep.” He pleaded me to accept his offered.
“I never deny you.” I nodded lightly and sleep in his embrace.

I swear was the best night I ever had. I never slept so well even though I was extremely tired. I woke up early in the morning when I inadvertently heard the chirping of the birds. Jasper was sleeping very still and soundly. I touched lightly on his face and playing with his hair but he was still fast asleep. I went out his bedroom and walked back into the room, which Aunt Allie had prepared for me. With a fast motion, I had taken a fragrant bath in the bathroom and prepare to go for the CD shop. Just then an aroma floating out from the kitchen, I think it would be Aunt Allie preparing breakfast for us. I tacked with the aroma and walked into the kitchen.

“Mr. Whine?” I whispered to myself but Mr. Whine turned over and looked and me. I bet he heard what I said.
“Good morning, Raven.” He smiled as a beckon.
“Good morning, Mr. Whine. I thought it was Aunt Allie.” I gripped my hair and grinned.
“Oh, she wasn’t feeling well today. So, I replaced her job. I hope you won’t mind a man doing a breakfast.” He laughed.
“Is she okay?” I asked worriedly “No, of course not. My dad used to make me breakfast.” I grinned.
“She’ll be fine. Oh, I guess your dad was really good at cooking.” He smiled.
“Will she be at breakfast later? Not really.” I smiled. “Anything I can help you?” I asked him but he looked delighted.
“Of course. So, you cooked all the time? Oh, yes. Can you wash the vegetables over there? I’ll be making plentiful salad.” He looked happy today.
“Emm, just dinner. Oh, sure. I can help you that. I’m good at making salad.” I laughed.
“I guess your dad would be lucky to have a daughter like you.” He laughed. “Really? Well, I guess I’ll pass the job to you then.” He then turned to concentrate on his cooking.
“I think I would be lucky to have a dad like him.” I laughed “Sure, trust me.” I said confidently. He laughed and I started my work very quickly. Making a salad always wasn’t a challenge to me. After finished preparing the salad and helping Mr. Whine in the kitchen, I went out to the dining room to place the breakfast on the luxury table neatly. Mr. Whine and I spent our time chattering while we were waiting for Jasper and Aunt Allie.
“Raven, serves as yourself.” Mr. Whine finally looked amiable to me.
“Thank you, Mr. Whine but shouldn’t we wait for Jasper and Aunt Allie?” I asked curiously because according to the movie which I had watched, the rich people always waited for the family attendance.
“We can eat while we were waiting. There are no certain rules in our home.” He smiled.
“Oh, I understand.” I grinned and rationed some of my hand-made salad.
“Wow, taste excellent.” Mr. Whine nodded and smiled widely. Jasper came into the dining room with a smile on his face.
“Good morning dad and good morning Raven.” He kissed lightly on my hair and sat on the chair.
“You should try the salad. Raven made it.” Mr. Whine smiled. Jasper speedily grabbed the salad and tasted it.

“Dad, Raven always good at cooking.” I smiled when he praised at me.
“I admitted that right now.” He thumbs up at me and started to read his newspaper.
“Why didn’t you wake me up before you leave the room?” He whispered to me.
“I did. Emm, I mean I play with your hair and… That’s not the point.” I frowned. “You looked tired so I didn’t wake you up.” Aunt Allie came in once I finished my words.
“Good morning.” A smile flashed on her ashen face.
“Are you feeling better dear?” Mr. Whine asked Aunt Allie with a thoughtful greeting.
“Better.” Aunt Allie walked towards Mr. Whine and kissed on his lips lightly. “I’m sorry.” Aunt Allie looked shy and sat down while Jasper poured the coffee into Aunt Allie’s cup.
“You should take more rest. I think you’re too tired. I’m sorry that I bothered you.” I sighed.
“Thank you darling. I’ll have some tablets later. I will be fine soon.” She grinned and sipped her coffee gently. The breakfast finished very quickly. Jasper and I cleaned up the table and we went out after finished the work in the house so that Aunt Allie wouldn’t be worried for the chores k that she haven’t done yet.

“Are we going to the shop?” I asked when Jasper holds my hand after we went out from the house.
“Yea, seems like you’d already recognized by my parents huh.”  He chuckled.
“Don’t you like it?” I grinned.
“Of course I am. I’m glad.” He smiled and started the ignition.
“Is this…your car?” I asked curiously.
“Yea, my dad bought it for me. It’s kind of far from school so I need to drive.”
“Is that shop far?” I frowned.
“Maybe 15 minutes? I went there once after Jennifer sent me the address.”
“Are you sure there will have the song that I wanted for?” I hopefully it will.
“I’m not sure. It’s quite an old classical music shop and the owner was really strange.” He frowned and I thought the owner probably had strange manners.
“How strange was it?” I laughed.
“I’m not joking. He’s really strange. You know why I’ll say that later.” He gulped.

It was really an old classical music shop but obviously the shop had repainted a few days ago. I went into the shop directly without any hesitation, wished I could find the CD soon. The shop was filled with dim light, I could hardly see through the name on the cover of the CD on the rack. There’s no one working on the counter even the whole store I couldn’t find any workers. Jasper stepped in the shop tardily and grabbed my hand to express his fear.
“It’s okay, Jasper. There’s nothing…okay, I admit that this is really strange. Nobody was in the shop. Lunch hour, probably.” I felt weird. “Maybe we should come back later.” I said to Jasper.
“Hello young lady, may I help you?” A hoarse voice came into my ear when I was holding the knob of the door, decided to leave. I swerved my body towards the sound and an old man standing right at the counter.
“Hi.” I said softly. “I told you it’s weird. He scared me twice when I came last time.” Jasper whispered softly beside my ear, I hold my breath in order to hold my laughter. I walked towards the counter and Jasper followed closely beside me so that he wouldn’t get scare by the old man for a third time.
“I wondered if you sell a classical music, Moonlight Sonata?” I asked with hoped.
“Of course. I have all classical music CD in my shop.” He chuckled and coughed lightly.
“Can you sell it for me?” I stared at him.
“I don’t sell to people I don’t know. I’m sorry.” He grinned and started to leave the counter.
“Wait, I really need it. Please.” I begged to stop him from walking far from me.
“Oh, well well well.” He turned his back and stared at me. “Why should I? I only sell to people who I think that he or she is eligible to buy my CD.” He grinned and turned his back to me again.
“Bizarre!” Jasper yelled at him. He turned very quickly and glanced at Jasper.
“Young man, you should have better manners. One last time, I wouldn’t sell for you, young lady. Leave now.” He said sternly and disappeared from my sight.
“Raven, come on. He wouldn’t sell it for us.” He walked towards and pulled me out of the shop.
“No, Jasper. He will sell it for me.” I get rid from his grasp and I walked inwards to find the old man.
“I’m not leaving until you sell me the disc. It meant a lot to me, please. It was part of the memories that my mom left for me…and…” The old man suddenly appeared behind me and patted my backside.
“What’s the matter with your mom?” He talked gloomily and I swerved and looked shocked.
“Emm, my mom dead.” I said sadly but he looked quite interesting with my story. “My mom dead when I was eight. I spent nine years to find this song in Forks but there’s not even a piece existed. I wouldn’t give up on you.” I said insistently. He turned and walked away without a word. I followed him but he gestured to stop my steps. I walked towards Jasper and hold him as a supportive.
“I think he really wouldn’t sell it for me.” I sighed and an intention telling me to leave.
“Young lady, wait.” He was already standing at the counter, waving me to walk back to him.
“Here, take it.” He sighed and then a smile appeared on his face.
“How much was it? I’ll pay?” I said happily and a big wide smile appeared on my face too.
“Free of charge. I hope you will take really good care of it. It’s my treasure” He smiled and coughed lightly.
“Really? Thank you. I will, definitely.” I jumped up and hugged Jasper tightly.
“Yes! I got it!” I shouted loudly with full happiness. Jasper smiled and apologized to the old man.
“Young lady, you should be more careful when you choose a boyfriend.” He stared at Jasper and looked at me with his amiable smile.
“Thank you. He is a good guy, sir.” I smiled and Jasper’s hand rounded on my waist.
“Oh, really? Hopefully he is. Thank you for coming. I hope to see you again.” He smiled happily and waved to me.
“I guarantee. Thank you!” I walked out from the shop with a big wide smile but Jasper doesn’t look happy at all but mad.

“Aren’t you happy that I get the disc?” I asked him softly while he was driving.
“Yes but I’m angry with that old man. He judged me so badly.” Jasper was angry with that weird but friendly old man.
“He’s not that bad. Maybe he just dislikes people yelling at him. Don’t be so angry, Jas.” He nodded lightly and grinned.
“Where were we going now? How about taking a lunch?” I asked and he smiled with delight. He drove and stopped by an organic restaurant.
“This?” I pointed at the restaurant and frowned.
“Yes, you don’t like it?” He asked curiously.
“No, of course not. When you started to eat so healthy?”  I teased him purposely. He pinched my cheek and grabbed my hand. A waiter walked towards and led us to a table with two sits. He placed the menu gently on the table and left.
“So, did you come here often?” I asked.
“Just a few times with my mom but the executive were really nice.” He grasped his hair lightly and turned his menu.
“Hey, Jasper.” A pretty girl walked towards our table and smiled sweetly. Jasper stood up and hugged her lightly.
“Hey. How are you?” Jasper smiled happily and patted her back. I could feel a sense of jealousy from my heart.
“I’m fine. How about you? I never seen you been here in a while.” She looked disappointed and turned to look at me.
“Fine. When will you be back to school?” Jasper didn’t answer her question directly but switched the topic.
“Emm, I’ll probably be back after the holiday. You can’t wait to see me huh?” She smiled mischievously. This made me felt extremely mad but I have to tolerate she was Jasper’s friend.
“Oh! l like you to meet someone.” Jasper swerved to me and said.
“Hi, I’m Chloe.” She said reluctantly. I think she purposely ignored my existence.
“Raven.” I said vindictively then turned my gazed on the menu.
“Raven is my girlfriend.” Jasper said and smiled.
“Seriously? I thought you were single.” She looked disappointed but a joy arises from my heart.
“I never admit that I was single.” He laughed and sat back to his sit.
“Oh well, I come back for order in a minute.” She glanced at me and left. Jasper was still laughing because of the ‘single’ or ‘no single’. I didn’t bother about his laughter but to concentrate on my meal. After the meal, I went out straightforwardly from the restaurant and waited for Jasper. I glanced into the restaurant and find where did Jasper gone. The girl name Chloe was hugging Jasper and both of her eyes were staring at me to display how happy she was. The madness was burning up my head and Jasper wasn’t detaching from the hug. I couldn’t stay any longer to watch the girl for doing this to Jasper and I couldn’t just recklessly pull him away, that was totally immature. I walked away unauthorized without waiting for him. The anger was continuously burning on my head. I never stopped walking on the street until I landed on the lawn of the garden. I sat on the bench in the garden and review about myself.

Did he found out that I was lost? Was he still talking with Chloe and forgot about my existence? Was I totally immature because of my jealousy? What should I interpret when I see Jasper again?
There’s a lot of uncertain question I couldn’t answered to myself. I shouldn’t get angry with him because Jasper always got welcoming from everyone. I don’t know how long did I sat on the bench because I leave my phone and watch in Jasper’s house but until I met an old lady strolling with her puppy.

“Excuse me. Do you know what the time now?” I asked softly when the old lady sat on the bench which I was sitting on.
“It’s three past seven now.” She smiled and petting her puppy dog.
“It’s late. Jasper must me worried.” I said to myself.
“Arguing huh?” She grinned and stared at me. I shook my head and told her the truth of my jealousy. I wondered why I told the old lady.
“I’d been through it. I thought my thirty-year’s marriage was going to an end but because I believe he will never left me and he didn’t until now.”  She sighed but a smile.
“How did you get rid over with it? Why didn’t your husband accompanied you now?” I asked too many question which made her frowned. “I’m sorry.” I quickly apologized before she got mad.
“It’s nothing dear. He was my first love and my true love. I never doubt on him in my entire life even though he told me that he wanted to divorce. I still believe he had hardship with it. He was rich, rich enough to buy everything. That’s the reason he lost his control with the pretty young lady. The lady was pregnant, and she often intimidated me to force me to leave my husband because he wouldn’t fell for me again. I was really jealous and mad with the lady but not my husband.” I saw the tears started to drip from her eyes. I gave her a piece of tissue to console her and she continued her story.  “I love him more than everything.  I never demand anything from him but the lady did. He busted eventually. The lady deluded every property of him and he came back to me. He begged me, pleaded me to accept him back for his lapse.” I can see how painful her story was.
“Did you?” I asked softly.
“No, he never knew how much he had harmed me. What did I do for him, and how I survive when he disappeared in my life thoroughly. Suicide was the most stupid thing I had ever done in my life but I never regretted.” She smiled and breathes to mollify her tone. “I forgave him. I forgave him because I remember the things he did right to me and forget the one thing he had done wrong. I spent my entire life with a man, knowing him for fifty years. Fall for him for fifty years and now he was dead, but he was still in my heart. Always in my heart and I can feel him beside me sometimes” She touched her chest with a smile and enjoy in the scent of love.
“You are a pretty young lady too but I assure you are a pure, wonderful, special young lady and your guy will loves you with his life.” She smiled joyfully.
“Am I worth for it?” I asked myself. “Of course. Everyone worth a chance to love. Jealousy is just frustration…never let jealousy deprived the love between you and him.” the old lady was really kind, the way she comforted just like the tone of my mom.
“Thank you for your story. It really will trigger the starting points for me to see through different kind things. How should I call you? I’m Raven.” I asked politely.
“It’s my pleasure to help you. Call me Elizabeth.” She smiled and stood up slowly with her crutch.
“Thank you Elizabeth. Can I visit you sometime when I was in Arizona?”
“Oh, you’re not from Arizona aren’t you?” She frowned and asked.
“I’m from Forks. I came here to visit my boyfriend. I think I will be in Arizona for two weeks.” I smiled and she wrote her address on my hand and started to walk home.
“Your boyfriend was really lucky to have you. Oh, of course you can visit when you come back to Arizona.” She smiled happily. I grinned.
“Let me help you home.” I grinned and she nodded lightly.
After sending Elizabeth back to her home safe and sound, the sky was getting darker. I guess the time had turned eight o’clock already. I walked slowly on the street beneath the dim street lights. In fact, I have no idea where Jasper house was. In that case, I could only rove on the street until Jasper found out where I am. The street was totally empty and quiet during the night. I could only hear the sound of my pace. Although I was afraid of the emptiness, darkness and the unfamiliar street, I have to enhance my volition to be calm until the dawn rises out and I could take a cab to get back. Just then, a saw a few guys walking across the street, It became a hope to me. I dashed forwards and shouted at them.

“Excuse me!” I shouted at them and they turned to me. There were four of them. They looked strong, tall, and gentlemen but I couldn’t stop thinking about a girl being rape by the men whom looked gentle in the middle of the night. This sort of things often broadcast on the radio even the movie.
“Do you need any help?” One of the guys asked friendly.
“Yes. I was finding Jasper. Uh, no. I mean I’m lost.” I frowned and sighed but I was still aware of the guys.
“Don’t be nervous, we won’t do anything to you.” The other guys laughed and said.
“We’ll bring you to the police department.”
“Thank you very much.” I thanked them for their helpfulness.
“Wait. Wait… Did I hear you said Jasper just now?” The guy who was wearing a red jacket stared at me.
“I did. Is there any problem?” I frowned and started to shudder because of the cold weather.
“Are you talking about Jasper Whine?” when I heard he could speak out Jasper name made me delighted.
“You know him?” I asked curiously.
“Of course. We all know him, we’re friends.” He smiled and the others followed to look even friendly to me.
“I didn’t see your face around. Are you a new transfer student?”
“I’m from Forks. I’m not. I came here for holiday.” I said and he pulled me to walk.
“And so you lost.” One of the guys laughed behind me.
“Where are you bringing me to?” I asked worriedly. “Jasper’s home, of course. We told you we weren’t bad guys.” He sighed and frowned.
“I’m sorry. Thanks for the help, a lot. I owe you.” He smiled when I said thanked to him.
“Ya, you owe me once. I never let go this chance.” He smiled and pulled me closer to him but I denied.

After a long journey of walking, I saw Jasper’s house was just at end of the street which I was walking on. Jasper was standing outside of his house, he looked worried.
“Hey, Jasper!” The red jacket guy standing beside me shouted. Jasper turned towards the sound and eyes went wide. He ran over and stared at me.
“Where did you go?” He stared at me sternly.
“I…” When I was supposed to say that I went off because I was jealous, one guy broke my words.
“She was lost.” He laughed.
“You found her?” Jasper looked at the red jacket guy and asked.
“No, she found us and she asked us to help her.” He grinned. “Thanks a lot, Jack.” Jasper patted on his shoulder and grinned.
“Who is she? You looked so nervous.” The guy name Jack asked curiously.
“She’s my girlfriend, of course I’m nervous.” These words made me felt so comfortable that I wasn’t regretted that I was lost.
“Your girl..? Jesus Christ.” Jack sighed and grasped his hair and messed it up.
“What’s the matter right now?”  Jasper looked fierce and rounded on my waist.
“Nothing.” Jack sighed and turned to walk away.
“Probably he likes your girl. We’ll see you next week, Jasper.” All of them turned and walked away silently.
“What happened just now? Why did they said he likes you?” He stared at me seriously.
“I was lost and I just searched for help. I don’t know.” I looked downwards on my shoes.
“Okay, we skip that first. Why did you walked away without telling me? Do you know how worried I am? I’d searched everywhere. Can’t you even inform me before you leave?” It was the first time he yelled at me.
“I’m sorry….” I apologized softly. “I was just mad at that girl. You’re not even pulling her away for hugging you and her eyes was totally…pissed me off. How could you…”
“You didn’t trust me.” He sighed and enhance his volume, emphasized his right and derogatory my right.
“Neither do you.” I shouted. Jasper stared at me and pulled me into the house hardly. His grasp made my hand hurt, but I didn’t get a chance to groan for my pain. He looked extremely angry but he didn’t vent on me.
“Go get bath and take some rest. You should be tired.” He stormed back to his room and left me all by myself. I didn’t console or give him an explanation on that night. I knew both of us weren’t going to have a nice conversation about for what we did today.
